I'm not dead

I'm just a little too freaked out with a million thoughts bumping off my head, especially since the loss of my glasses has perpetrated exaggerated vacuity in the critical decision making areas of my brain.

I'm on leave for the next week. From everything.

Oh, and a bit of news: I got Wordpress! They have a cool posting engine, and post categories, and smooth image upload, and custom pages, and neat commenting features, and a comments RSS, and posts import, and they let me take sameer.wordpress.com. In two words, they rock.

The only issue I see with them is Templates. They don't yet support custom templates, I think. And I'm not going to leave my kick-ass cool blue template even if they allow me to blog from Mars. Or offer me one of these babies.

Of cogent prose and fake celebrities

It's a hackneyed and dull practice to fill up your blog with prose of other authors. So you don't do it. The rules change, however, for an author of Ghalib's repute and a fan of my indulgence. This one's courtesy AJ.

Kaaba, I'm told, is the huge masonry structure built at the hallowed grounds of Mecca. Drop me a pointer if I'm wrong. Other posts on Ghalib here and here. In other news, Gaurav Sharma, the man made famous on this blog now has a blog of his own.
